Atlanta Hawks rookie free-agent signee Tyler Cavanaugh saw his status upgraded Monday when he signed a multi-year contract, the team announced.
Yahoo! Sports reported the deal is for two years.
Cavanaugh went undrafted after being a college standout for George Washington and wasn't even invited to the NBA Combine. He led George Washington to the 2016 NIT crown and was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
After going undrafted last June, the 6-foot-9 forward caught on with Atlanta's summer league squad and later received an invitation to training camp. The Hawks eventually released him but he later was signed to a two-way deal on Nov. 5.
